Lone Survivor
On June 2005, four U.S Navy SEALs were fighting aginist an army ~130+ Taliban soldiers. Their mission was to capture or kill Sharmak, Osama's right hand man. The novel, describes his journey of becoming a Navy SEAL, with knowledge in field medic and advanced rifle marksmanship. The narrator Marcus Luttrell, describes his close teammates the event as it unfolded, where more than 130+ Taliban soldiers circled the four man squad and killed three of his teammates. The novel, gives the reader a scene of overwhelming emotions, how the narrator attached you to this teammate and tells you that he will be shot and injured and later killed. This is the story of the fire team leader Marcus Luttrell, the sole survivor of Operation Redwing, and the desperate battle in the Afgan Mountains which lead to the largest lost in Navy SEAL history. In the end, those that were killed were awarded the Cross for Combat Heroism and Medal Of Honor. I really encourage people to read this book, who ever is interested in action adventure and war.
