misery review

I thought that the book was really interesting. It was interesting how Stephen King was able to keep the suspense going between the two characters and how throughout most of the book, even though they both hated each other, there was not many things that each of them could have done. There were also in the same house and it became so difficult for Paul to get out of the situation that he was in.
Even though Annie was still taking care of Paul and feeding him, Paul should have felt grateful that Annie was able to save him from his accident, but instead, it seem that he would have been better off dead because of all the things he had to go through. He suffered a lot and lost his leg and because of that, he also got addicted to painkillers and could not have done anything because Annie was in charge of what would go on in the house. Paul knew that Annie would do things that were unexpected and was not afraid of killing him if he did not write the book the way Annie wanted it to be. Luckily, after an officer got killed by Annie, they both knew that it was not going to be long until they find out that Paul was kidnapped by Annie. Paul was clever enough to have pretended to burn the manuscript of the book he was writing that Annie did not read. He burned other papers and Annie tried to take out the fire, he hits her over the head with his typewriter and chokes her to death.
