Short Story

It was 3 a.m. and Carrie had been waiting alone at the Bellevue Hospital bus stop for 30 minutes now. The bang of the thunder and bite of the wind were the only things keeping her from dozing off. But over the roar of the torrential rain, she was unable to notice the shadow creeping towards her. She caught a glimpse of the figure and everything went silent. The bus finally arrived and no one was there.
