The book 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea made a good start to me but it started to slow down after that to me. If you are looking for a fast paced action book then this probably would not be one of those books for you but if you want a book that is more of an adventure book then this is the book for you. This book explores the world under the sea and considering that this book was written around the time that submarines were just wishful thinking this book does a pretty good job at describing and imagining the things under the sea. This book also does a good job with characterization as well. This book also goes into some ethical issues at the time like hunting whales which at the time was not outlawed yet. The book brought up the issue where people hunter seals and whales to the point of extinction which is appalling because it is bad enough for these aquatic animals because they have other predators to worry about. This book made up a bunch of animals under the sea but instead of making it so fictional it makes it seem rather realistic instead of fictional. It is possible that there are animals similar to these animals in this book. Every single chapter lies something new for the reader and the characters to explore and discover. This book may have a big imagination about what lies beneath the sea but there will always be more to be discovered.
