20,000 Leagues Under The Sea

The novel 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea is full of action and adventure from the beginning. It starts off by making the reader think about what is going on as many ships are being wrecked in the Atlantic Ocean. The people of this time don't know what it causing these wrecks, and when a sighting occurs some people conclude it is a creature of massive size with a horn sticking out. Seafarers, crew men, and sailors are terrified of this creature because of the damage it causes to boats, but the people outside of the sea-world think it's something amazing. All the chatter going around is about this creature, and even cartoons were being made making fun of the undiscovered species.
Professor Pierre Aronnax from France is a well known scientist, who is known in America and in Western Europe for his book called Mysteries of The Great Submarine Grounds. One of his theories for these happenings is that it can't be a man-made machine because nobody is aware of it, and it is impossible for one countries government to have made this covertly because other governments would have known. As Professor Aronnax is somewhat knowledgeable with the sea and the creature, he gets invited to board the Abraham Lincoln on an adventure to find this seafaring monster.
As the days, weeks, and months go by, there has been no sign of the creature. Everybody on board the vessel start getting restless and are ready to give up. They have been wandering the seas and nothing has happened. Until one night when they spot something that looked like the creature. Everybody was amazed, even though they were scared, and watched as the object sped past it at an amazing speed. Aronnax and his assistant were surprised that it didn't strike them. After a while and being wrecked by the object, Aronnax and the crew found it was a man-made submarine that was causing all this trouble in the oceans after they were rescued by it. Captain Nemo was the man who had created this super-submarine.
